Dry Eye: How Often Do You Use Eye Drops?
2 of 3 : Current video

Barbara shares how often she uses drops to treat her dry eye symptoms.

Barbara:
As far as the eye drops that I use, I put them in usually in the morning, maybe about an hour before I put in my contacts, and then, you know, have a cup of coffee or something. Then I put my contacts in. I am a contact wearer all day long. I wear mine all day, sometimes until 9:00 or 10:00 at night.

When I take them out at night and I get ready to go to bed I will put the drops in then, and that seems to work for me okay and I think if somebody were having more issues or allergies were worse I think I would suggest taking the contacts out for an hour. So putting your drops in; letting your eyes kind of rest and let the drops kind of work, then put your contacts back in or just wear your glasses for a few hours.
