Q:

VP or HPV?

I have my first pap booked for next week and was curious as to what the doctor would see, upon exploring I found these little bumps on my inner labia just outside of my vaginal opening. There’s one “large” one about the size of a ballpoint pen tip, and a couple smaller ones maybe the size of a pin head. They are flesh coloured and don’t resemble cauliflower as many say warts do. I have no symptoms and they don’t bother me, but after doing some research I’m scared there’s a chance they could be genital warts, although they look a lot more like vestibular papillae in my (non professional) opinion. Should I be concerned?

Hello. Thank you for writing.

Any time you time you find something in or on your genital area, it's only natural to be concerned. We cannot know what this is, but your doctor will tell you upon examination, I'm sure. Until then, try to relax and not to think the worse case scenario.
