Another "Pregnant? or just Stress-induced missed period?" question

The start of my most recent period was on Feb 26 - projected ovulation date being March 14, projected next period March 28 (via MyMonthlyCycles, where I have been keeping track of my period for 1 year). Average cycle - 30 days.

We had protected intercourse on March 3 and 24. The condom didn't break; slipped down maybe an inch but we pushed it right back up.

Now my period is 3 or 4 days late (depending if you count the 28th), with no usual signs of cramping etc that I normally get. Took two HPT's and both came out negative. Discharge looks normal, no tenderness of breasts or anything. I have had a little bit of an upset stomach but I think I may just be getting sick - I am under quite a bit of stress.

I know it's unlikely that I am pregnant, but I am paranoid since I can't afford to have a child right now. I have heard that stress really can throw off a regular period (I have been regular for 8 years now), but I have a hard time believing it since I am so paranoid... help? I don't know what's wrong with me!

Have a GYNO appt coming up in a month, but I'm the type of person who likes to know without going to the doc! It sure would be nice if my period would come!

Hello Anonymous,
Brown vaginal discharge could be old blood. Did you finger her roughly or too long? Irritation may be the reason.
Fingering and oral sex do not cause pregnancy.

Hello Anonymous,
The dark orange colored vaginal discharge is not a sign of pregnancy.
I don't know what it can be. As she ever had this type of discharge before? If she continues to experience this, she needs to consult her doctor.

What about the brown discharge? I also forgot to say that we stopped after her orgasm and just after that we saw the orange discharge.

Hi. Maybe someone an help us out and give some advice or explanation.

Me and my girlfriend are not having sexual intercourse. We only do oral and fingering. The last time i fingered her (today, June 27), there was a dark orange colored gooey like or mucus like substance on my finger when i pulled it out, so we stopped. After about an hour or two, we noticed that there is a brown discharge on her panty liner. She said that she does not feel anything weird and nothing hurts. We are just worried. She had her period from June 8-13 and today is June 27 as stated above. I'm just 21 years old and she 18. What could be the problem? Could she be pregnant or something? Thanks in advance.

Hi, maybe someone can help me out...

I had my last period on May 15, it is now June 17 and no signs at all of my period. It is usually around 30 day cycle but I'm not really sure exactly... My boobs hurt a little, but that's it. About two weeks ago my boobs hurt really bad and I felt cramps on one side of my stomach- could this have been ovulation or is it an early sign or pregnancy???? and then the hurting of my boobs stopped, but now hurt a little but not as much. I am freaking out because my boyfriend and I have sex without a condom, but he always pulls out at least a couple minutes before he finishes. I know it is foolish, I am only 22 not looking for a child, and I finally got birth control but can't start it until I start my period starts, I am freaking out and so scared that it is too late. I am constantly online googling pregnancy symptoms and of course they are all similar to pms symptoms. Is it too soon to take a pregnancy test? Should I be freaking out? Also, I have been living in Israel studying abroad for a full year, and just last week came back to the U.S, could traveling and diet changes and time zone changes and stress be related to this?

Hello Josh,

If your girlfriend had her period on May 11 and you have not had unprotected sex between May 16 and today, then she is not pregnant.

You must wear a condom, from the beginning to the end, during each and every sexual activity. Your girlfriend must use some type of birth control, consistently.

Hello Buibuiboota,

The recent and drastic change in your lifestyle plus intense stress are causing your period to be late. It is not likely that pregnancy is the cause.

Try to relax and effectively manage your stress levels. It will take some time to adjust to a busy work schedule. Do allow yourself some down time. Mediation or yoga may help. Give yourself at least a half hour of relaxation before going to bed.

Hello everyone. I would like some advice. My boyfriend and I have been together for well over two and a half years now. We did not have sex until recently and it was protected with a condom, which did not break or anything. Before this, we only "fooled around" with oral and fingering and such and have been doing that for about a year. I have never gotten pregnant or anything from it. We have taken precautions to be as safe as possible. My period is usually very regular, I normally start on the 9th of every month like clockwork. However, this is now the 12th (i started on the 9th last month as well) and still no period. I know I am not incredibly late, but it is late for me. My life has been hectic recently. I went straight from highschool and a life of pretty mich laziness into working hard for almost 50 hours in two weeks. I am often exhausted after work and I also experienced a bit of mental stress. This has all happened over the last month. Is there a chance this drastic change in lifestyle and stress has caused me to have a late period or could I be pregnant? (Note: we had protected sex yesterday, the 11th. After my period was already late.)
