Dr. Harness shares if oncoplastic surgery is an inpatient or outpatient procedure.
Dr. Harness, M.D.:
If you are doing a reshaping of the inside of the breast, generally those can be done within 23 hours. It depends on what else is going on. If you have taken out lymph nodes, probably that’s an inpatient procedure. If you are doing an implant, that’s generally an inpatient procedure. If you are rotating tissue in as part of reshaping or reforming the breast, those are inpatient procedures.
