Dr. Henschke recalls if CT (computed tomography) scans, used to detect lung cancer, are readily available across the United States.
Dr. Henschke:
I think there are centers throughout the country. The key thing is for you to ask at that center, “Do you have a screening program and if so, how long have you been screening?” And to understand that there’s a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, oncologists, pulmonologists, all of those medical specialties really should be involved in the screening program.
