What diet actually worked for you?
I am 54. Went into pre-menopause and gained 40 lbs. I've tried several diets, including the 6 week body makeover. I just don't know what to do anymore.
I have lost nearly 10 KG just by doing yoga and following strict diet plans in last 3 months...
I read this article http://mynahcare.com/healthy-living/weight-loss-obesity/watch-tv-and-lose-weight-2/, it is really funny..I mean how someone can lose weight by watching TV...

Hi Beverly,
Planning meals ahead really helps me. I usually will do this for just a few days at a time, it's always better to eat the freshest food possible.
Also, portion control! Eating on smaller plates helps control the amount of food you eat. It also tricks your brain into thinking you are eating more than you actually are.
There are many ways to lose weight and it is true that there isn't a magic diet that will help you lose weight.
Here is a great resource on EmpowHER that may help you out: https://www.empowher.com/community/share/5-useful-tips-make-real-progress-your-next-diet

1. Plan my meals in advance. That way, I don't end up grabbing something that's unhealthy just because I'm hungry.
2. I eat several small meals a day. I usually eat a light breakfast, a light "early lunch" (around 11), a light "late lunch" (around 2 or 3), and then a moderate dinner. If I deviate from that, I have a hard time losing weight, since this helps the metabolism go strong all day long.
3. I think picking a fitness plan that coordinates with your daily routine is key. I personally find that workout DVD's are perfect for me because that takes out a monthly bill from the gym -- and the convenience factor is perfect for my busy schedule
I attribute these key routines to my weight loss. I'm down 15+ since January, and have never felt better.

No single approach, formula, or plan for weight loss can work perfectly for every person. Use the method that works for your best. I share what made losing weight easier for me here:
