Hi there women friends,
I'm so pleased to join Michelle and my old friend Dr. Pam Peeke this Thursday May 15th on HER Radio. Dr. Pam and I share a background in stress research and an abiding curiosity about how we can nurture our best self in body, mind, and spirit. They say that you teach whatever it is that you most need to learn. For me, learning to make stress and change allies rather than enemies is a life lesson that keeps. In addition to being a cell biologist, I'm also a clinical psychologist. Resilience and the brain are topics that I'm passionate about. We'll be discussing five common fears and five simple ways to change your brain to become more stress hardy, adaptable, joyful, and gentle with yourself. Some of what we'll cover can be found in my New York Times bestseller Minding the Body, Mending the Mind. More specific information on the 3 major traits of resilient people and how to develop them appear in my book It's not the End of the World: Developing Resilience in Times of Change. And a book you might really enjoy- one that I co-authored with my husband Dr. Gordon Dveirin- is Saying Yes to Change. And believe me, co-authoring a book shortly after you marry is a huge lesson in stress hardiness and resilience!
For information on mind-body medicine please check my website www.joanborysenko.com. And to join the lively conversation on my Facebook page go to www.facebook.com/joanborysenkocommunity. Right now we're discussing the change that comes from selling a beloved house and moving to another state. While that can be very stressful (yes ma'am) it's an incredible adventure in trusting your intuition, using your reason, following your guidance and taking an exciting leap into a new phase of life. Hope you join us on HER Radio for some information, inspiration, and good conversation with my topics on How to Say Yes to Change and Retrain Your Brain: Conquer the 5 common fears
