Wife had baseball size bulge come up half under her left ribcage, while in tub,and laying back,it came up as she sat up, she rub on it as a cramp and it went away,was it a cramp or possibly something else

Unless the bulge is present and examined by a doctor, there is no way to know what it is (or was). I don't know that a cramp would cause a bulge such as you describe. If it returns, she should see her doctor. Take a picture of the bulge to bring with you, in case it should disappear (again).
