Thank you for your question! Believe it or not, the average man lasts anywhere from 3-10 minutes after the initial intercourse.
Premature ejaculation is usually less than this time, but it's really in the eye of the partner, because if you're unhappy with the fact that he is climaxing before you, then this is premature.
You can try a few things to prolong his climax-- try slowing down the pace, experimenting with different positions and taking deep, relaxed breaths. Focus on extending foreplay
through kissing and massage, which can excite your partner without intercourse.
A method that often helps is called the start-stop method, in which whenever he feels like he is losing control and is close to climaxing, he stops and pulls out for a few seconds until he is able to gain control back. Practice this quite often and you'll see that he will slowly but surely start to gain self control and last longer.
