I have had cancer for past 2 years and he said the nurse at the clinic he went to get treated told him that I could have developed it because of weakened immune system. That doesn't even make sense to me. I just want as many facts as possible to back me up when I confront him.

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
I'm so sorry you are facing this perplexing situation. Here are some important facts to consider before speaking to your husband.
--Trichomoniasis can remain dormant without symptoms for years in both men and women
--If you had a normal pap smear not long ago, then the timeline of when you contracted it will be more clear
--Evidence that your last pap smear was normal is proof that your husband infected you during a certain timeframe
--If he did infect you, either it was dormant in him for years and did not pass it to you until now. OR he did contract it from someone else recently and immediately passed it to you. It will be difficult to know which scenario happened, especially if he has never had symptoms and/or been tested for STDs before.
--if he was tested for STDs in the past during your marriage with normal results, then that is some evidence that he was infected between that time and now.
--If he has never been tested, there isn't really a sure fire way of knowing he cheated on you, even if he does test positive for trichomoniasis now.
--have your husband tested for trichomoniasis. If you he passed the STD to you, then he should be treated as well.
Below I have pasted a link to a HER article describing the ABC's of trichomoniasis more closely. https://www.empowher.com/trichomoniasis/content/abcs-trichomoniasis
I hope that helps.
