I have a small spot on my stomach that itches and has been there for some time concerned if it could be some kind of skin cancer

In most cases, these kinds of spots are harmless but some are not. Any spots like this, especially newer ones or ones that change or have symptoms (itching) need to be evaluated. It's important to schedule an appointment with your doctor. This is not something that should be delayed.
