Can you tell us why you are wanting to stop chemotherapy, and what have your doctor(s) recommended?

I had decided to stop the chemotherapy due to I could not stand the side effect...I will see the doctor in my next appointment on 3.3.2011 (the date i suppose to do my 3rd chemo). I will tell the doctor about my decision...I just dont know whether i had made a right decision...but i will continue taking the hospital medicine and other medicine and at the same time i also will control my food and diet.

There are no 100% guarantees, and the treatment outcomes depend so greatly on many factors that are specific and unique to each individual. However, there are basic ranges for treatment success, depending (again) on many individualized factors (type, severity, stage of cancer; family and medical history, other conditions, etc).
What information have your doctor(s) provided to you, in terms of your treatment success rates? They can also tell you what the success for each treatment is when used alone, in combination with other therapies, as well as if you complete half of the treatments or all of them.
