Sunday was a decent day. I was very nauseated most of the day, but felt better when I finally got up to get fresh air at 5pm.

I saw an old friend, Valarie Bast and her husband yesterday afternoon. It was great to spend time with them. She is such a sweetheart and caring person. I originally met her years ago when she was president (or maybe vice president) of ad2phoenix, a local marketing and advertising networking group for young professionals. Although we don’t see each other often, it’s good to know that you can always have friends close in your heart.

Last night Wes and I went to finally organize our guest bedroom/office. We just threw a mattress set away a few months ago and had to buy a new one. Oh well, I guess it’s worth it. The caregivers that come to visit need a comfortable place to stay and privacy as well…not sleeping on an air mattress (thanks Eric for letting us temporarily using this).

This am I woke up super early. I woke up several times through the night as well with major body aches, mostly in my left calf and entire back. I literally have to “roll out of bed” to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I think my body is starting to get use to the pain medication and/or the cancer is even more prevalent than a couple weeks ago. I’m confused as to why I have this horrible pain in my calf though…almost like a cramp. The docs didn’t really see anything associated on the scans at the hospital. I am going to call the nurse today and see what they can do. I definitely want to see about changing up the pain meds because they are not working as well and I think the morphine is making me nauseous.

Today, I have a meeting with the fertility doc…should be very interesting. Will keep you all posted!
