What Happens If A Woman Gains Weight After Liposuction? - Dr. Steinman (VIDEO)

Listen as Dr. Steinman shares what happens if a woman gains weight after she has liposuction.

Dr. Steinman:
Liposuction is not a weight loss technique. Liposuction removes it best five to seven pounds of fat when you do a standard liposuction procedure. Liposuction is re-sculpting areas of diet-resistant fat. So if you have liposuction, you certainly will not gain fat back in those areas, but if you did not diet and you continue to not exercise or if you just simply gain weight, you will get fat elsewhere. So, liposuction is a reshaping technique that needs to be done in concert with your normal level of exercise and normal dietary and caloric intake. If you maintain your normal exercise and caloric intake then you are going to look trimmer and flatter where we did the liposuction and you will not gain weight elsewhere.
