The empowerment of the arts as a means by which each of us can understand, revision and balance ourselves cannot be underestimated. When brought directly into the arena of health care the arts have the capacity of facilitate wellness in measurable ways.

I am running a webinar on JUNE 8th at 2 ET through the SAH, with whom I am a consultant.
It is called: SUSTAINING THE VISION WITHOUT LOSING THE LIGHT: Growing an Organization from Inspiration to Board
You can enroll at: http://www.thesah.org/events/webinars.cfm

This is for new organizations and others going through change, to assist with administrative and structural development. One of the greatest challenges for groups in bringing the arts into the community is the How. Regardless of if you are a dedicated arts group bringing theatre, dance, music or art to the community or if you are specifically wokring within the healthcare environment, your organization will have the same needs and challenges in terms of organization and sustainabllty.

This webinar will assist you to handle that with grace, knowledge and good health!

Description

Who we are and how we Be in the world, has a direct impact on how we handle our health and wellness issues. Any real experience of our health encompasses the trilogy - the physical aspects, how we think about it, and that intangible 'other' that gives us grace and gets us through. This applies to mental and physical health equally. if we can cultivate our spiritual aspect of the triad, it will be there when we most need it, as we face our own aging and illness as well as when assisting others. This group is here to share resources and avenues to connecting the three, most particularly to embracing and articulating our personal appreciation of Spirit. This group does not advocate for any particular brand of spiritual practice or religion. Simply by sharing your stories, pointing us toward books, articles, poems, art, workshops, or other expressions of Spirit and health you will contribute to each individual's personal journey.
