Mallika Chopra describes her inspiration for starting Intent.com.
Mallika Chopra:
I started intent.com about a year and a half ago and our goal is really to help people support people to realize their dreams, their aspirations. So we are focused on wellness as we define wellness as personal, social and global wellness, so it’s about, “Who am I; what can I do for my community and my planet; I need to be healthy, as does society, so human rights, social rights as does mother earth because if mother earth is not healthy then we are not healthy.”
So we have a lot of content. We have over 500 to 600 experts now writing on intent but really what drives intent are people’s intentions. So similar to what I had done with my book, “100 Promises to My Baby”, intent is encapsulating your dreams and aspirations in one sentence.
So writing my intent is for example to be a good mother, to take care of mother earth etc. And then what we do is we provide a community of people who support you, who comment and give you advice, as well as then content to help you realize your dreams and we have found, and it’s been quite an experience to see this evolve over the last year, that people just find there’s real power in stating their intents, but then also in having a community that through the simple click of a button supports you and starts creating good karma, creating that excitement that yes, other people are supporting me in my dreams and actually then realizing them.
