Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures on the market today. Indeed, it has now been available for quite a number of years and it has massively increased in popularity and in safety during that time. Botox Westchester can also be used to stop migraines from occurring and even to stop hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
Not everybody seems to understand just how beneficial Botox can be. They presume it is solely for the face and that it is able to smooth out just about any wrinkle. However, you must first understand what types of wrinkles there are before you can learn to understand whether or not Botox can treat them.
Different Types of Facial Wrinkles
• Number 11 lines, or frown lines, are those that show up between your eyebrows when you try to frown.
• Crow’s feet are those lines that start in the corner of your eye, fanning out towards your
temples. They look a bit like the feet on birds, which is where they get their name from (although why crow is not clear).
• Smile lines appear between the outside of your nostrils and the corners of your mouth.
These sometimes only show up when you smile, but other people find that the become significant and permanent creases. They are also called nose-to-lip folds.
• Marionette lines travel from the corner of the mouth downwards, in the inverted angle of the smile lines.
• Smoker’s lines form around the lips. Most people who smoke will get them, because they have to pucker up in order to suck on their cigarette. However, non-smokers aren’t immune to them either.
What Botox does is paralyze the muscle that is contracted to form that specific wrinkle. Hence, it doesn't affect the skin in any way. There are hundreds of muscles in the face, which are in almost constant motion, causing wrinkles to appear. Botox stops these muscles from moving and thereby reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
Problems with Botox
Too many people don’t think about the real consequences of paralyzing some of the muscles in the face. They simply want to get rid of any line they can see. However, this can lead to having a “frozen face”, meaning that a person becomes incapable of making facial expressions.
Best Places for Botox
The best places to use Botox are the crow’s feet, the surprise lines and the frown lines. Smoker’s lines can be corrected to some degree, but this is not advisable if the person still smiles. This is because the lines will then be far worse when the Botox wears off, meaning they have to come back for increasingly strong treatments.
So long as you are aware of what Botox can and can’t do, the treatment is incredibly beneficial. For More information please click here.

Hello Janifar,
Botox is neurotoxin produced by the bacterium, Clostridium botulinium.
It is potent and use of it should be given great consideration.
