- When purchasing convenience items, focus more on fresh and lightly processed foods. Examples include pre-cut fruits and vegetables; prewashed lettuce, plain frozen fruits and vegetables; dried fruit; and fruits canned in water or 100 percent juice.

Good food choices will lead to a healthy body and mind. In National Nutrition Month it is our responsibility to aware everyone about the benefits of healthy eating. These healthy tips are simple and we must implement them in our life that will surely lead positive results. I like the shopping tips more because if you will shop healthy then you will eat healthy too.

These are easy to remember and easy to implement tips that can help all of us make healthier food choices for ourselves and our family members. Swapping fruit and vegetables for sugary and salty, empty-calorie snacks is a good habit to adopt.
