Australia conducted and published results in 2007 on a 3-month, double-blind randomnized, placebo controlled study where 36 women participated. A daily doses of the male hormone Testosterone was given to postmenopausal women who had undergone a hysterectomy. Those women who were using the cream containing the male hormone reported significant improvement in sexual desire, frequency of sex, receptivity, and initiation. The researchers concluded that the study showed an effective way, easy to use and no side effects treatment to help women with libido problems resulting from hysterectomy and menopause.

I read on the side effects information in pamphlet provided with the testosterone includes the possibility that your bad cholesterol “test results” may increase.
December 6, 2008 - 3:54amHowever, when I take testosterone regularly I bulk up and find it annoying. I do not take that much but it reminds me why I cut it back. I feel better on it, but do not appreciate my clothes feeling snugger. I work out regularly and think the testosterone helps with building muscle mass. Any thoughts?
