Uro Today produced a study in which a robot was produced to conduct a cystectomy. A cystectomy is the removal of part or all of the urinary bladder. Mainly it will be used to remove cysts or to help in the removal of cancerous tumors.

technology has come along way, baby!
I guess it is similar to "telemedicine", and other devices doctors use to poke, prod, probe, cut, scrape and otherwise make us better. I compare the use of robots to laser surgery to some degree, because there is a machine between the patient and doctor. I did not read the story, but I assume there is a doctor manning the robot?
