I was taking the HCG injections to lose weight. In the beginning of March I was told I was pregnant. I have had an abnormal period for years. When I went to the doctor I explained my medical history. I have never had a miscarriage or a fail pregnancy. They are basing my due date off my LMP which can possible be wring because I began taking the HCG injections in February. I honestly believe the injections through my menstrual off. They estimated me to be about 9 weeks. They sent me for an u/s on 04/01/2016. When I went in and had the U/S I was told there was nothing but a sac no baby. They gave me a blood test and told me they would repeat the u/s in 2 days. My weekend was filled with tears and sadness. On Monday they called me and told me that my HCG level was at 65480 so they told me to return on Friday for a follow up u/s. On Monday I went to another hospital regarding my results afraid that I would lose the child. When I went to the other hospital this time which was 2 days later I was told they say a sac and there is a yolk inside they also see the fetal pole with no heartbeat. They retook my blood to see what my levels were. The other hospital states that their charts are different than what the other hospital goes by but they could look into it. I have not had any loss of blood or cramping. My HCG levels were 49813 showing a significant decrease. However speaking to the physician I was told that the HCG injections could have had a possible effect on my levels. Every time they do the ultrasound it shows me measuring about 5 or 6 weeks not at 9 weeks. I feel like I am not far. I feel like because I took those HCJ injections in February and March it has thrown my numbers off the only doctor that has listened to me was the one who I went to the 2nd hospital. When the retook my blood levels 2 days late it shows my levels at 49487. I was told to follow up with my OB-Gyn or go to one of their doctors. I followed up because I had an appointment 2 days later. The other doctor instructions was to wait about 2 weeks and redo the ultrasound. I still feel nauseated and pregnant with sore breasts . My doctor said I should be 10 weeks the baby is too small although the ultrasound is measuring me at 6 weeks 6 days. They disregarded what I said. They recommended a D & C . This is has been a terrible ordeal for me considering no one is listening and my doctor has just said its probably dead. Its like no one cares or listens no will they repeat the U/S . I am just saddened by all of this and I don't know what to do since no one is listening

Hello sheltial33,
Welcome to the EmpowHER community. I am glad you reached out to us. We are here to listen and offer support. I can appreciate how sad and frustrated you must feel.
During pregnancy, hCG levels continue to rise. The best way to detect a pregnancy after an hCG injection is the hCG beta blood test.
You need two tests several days apart. If you are not pregnant, then the blood hCG numbers will be zero or they will decrease. If you are pregnant then they will rise. As a general rule, in a normal pregnancy hCG beta numbers should go up by at least 60% in 2 days.
I share your thought that your hCG levels are directly linked to the injection.
