There are some strict rules to the Atkins diet, if you want to stand any chance of success then it is important that you know, understand and abide by these rules. Once you start the Atkins diet then you will only be able to eat under 20g of carbohydrates per day for the first two weeks of being on the diet. When you have gotten down to this level for the full two weeks then you can eat an extra five grams of carbohydrates to your daily allowance each week. This means that after the initial two weeks you can then have 25g of carbohydrates, the week after you can then have 30g, and so on.
Keeping On Track
The ideal amount of carbohydrates is between 40-90g depending on your gender, age and size. Once you reach a comfortable amount of carbohydrates then you should stay with that limit on a long term basis. This will make sure that you can lose as much weight as possible.

Can The Atkins Diet Achieve Success?

This diet works well for people with plenty of determination, however if you are going to give up at the first hurdle then this isn’t a good diet for you. If you can manage to stick to the diet then you won’t be able to overcome obesity, however if you can stick to it then there is a good chance you will succeed.
