My boyfriend and I had sex on May 8, a day after my period ended (May 6). Sadly, the condom broke. We don't know if it was during sex or after, because we just knew that the condom was broken when i suddenly felt something wet was shot on my ankle. The only thing we both are sure of is that he pulled out before he came, since he was insistent on doing so (he went to look for other methods that would decrease chances of pregnancy other than pills because I can't take one) since we started having sex.

Hello LovelyLily,
Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your pregnancy risk concern.
There is no way to know, until you get or do not get your next monthly period.
There would have been a risk it this happened five days before you were due to ovulate or on the day of ovulation. If semen leaked through the broken condom and got into your vagina, there was a chance.
Consider learning about all birth control options. Choose the one that will work best for you. And use it regularly.

Hi LovelyLily,
Ovulation happens in the middle of the menstrual cycle. Just about two weeks before your next period is due to start. Most women ovulate between day 11 and day 21. Count the first day of your period as day one.

So if the first day of my period was on May 3, then and I had sex on May 8, I'm still not ovulating since it was just the 6th day of my cycle? And if I was not ovulating, should I still be worried about getting pregnant even though he pulled out before he came?

Hi LovelyLily,
That is correct. You were not ovulating and he pulled out before ejaculating, so no risk for pregnancy.
