Hello, Anon!

Thank you for posting.

Everyone’s “first time” is different. Some women bleed and have pain after they have sex for the first time, other's don't. It's nothing to be concerned about and should be short-lived. You're bleeding should not be like having a period, however. The pain (most) women feel after first time sex is soreness. If you feel you need to take something, you can take any drug store pain reliever such as Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin).

Moving forward, besides using condoms, if your vagina isn’t lubricated (wet) enough this can cause pain during sex. Using a lubricant (lube) can help make sex more comfortable. It may also help to wait until you’re fully aroused before putting anything in your vagina.

best,
Helena
