Q:

What is the cause to having pain down the back of my leg after having sex? The pain starts at the bottom of my butt to my ankle and now has moved to my toes.

I saw a post stating you can be pregnant if you have pain in legs that intensifies when standing. Mine starts at my butt and extends down to my ankle.

Guide

Hi Anon  and thanks for your question.

Leg pain is not an indicator of pregnancy, There are many causes, including muscle fatigue or strain from overuse, too much exercise, or holding a muscle in the same position for a long time.

If you are not pregnant, then you may want to try to find more comfortable positions that do not put strain on your hamstrings. If the pain continues and/or occurs during other activities you may want to see your medical provider to determine whether some type of nerve condition, such as Sciatica, is causing the pain.

Hope that helps,

Pam
