The skin area around the mole feels oddly numb, so he prescribed the above. I don't know why, and now the skin just hurts??? I'm at a loss here. I should have taken the mole off but just to go in there and have a small bump frozen off cost me $300.00. Now I do not know what to do.

Hi Quat5,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

Clobetasol Propionate is a medication used to treat various skin disorders like eczema, psoriasis, etc.  Like with most medications, it has it's share of side effects which include skin irritation, burning sensation, as well as a host of others.

Like with any side effect, I would notify your doctor immediately.

As for having the mole removed, it sounds like it's been something you've been contemplating.  I would discuss this option with your doctor, when you call about the side effects. The cost of a procedure might just be is worth it especially after having an unsatisfactory experience with medication.

I hope this helps.

Be well,

~Gillette
