I'm sorry to hear that, so far, there have been no definitive answers for your daughter. As you know, blood that you can see in your urine is called gross hematuria. The color can range from light pink to red to a cola-colored urine. According to Mayo Clinic, a number of things can cause blood in the urine, from kidney infections to certain medications to very strenuous exercise like running, though this is rare.
