Hi, im 22 years old. On the 23rd September i had my menses which is regular and it lasted till 26th September. However i started to have spottings on the 11th October and i have been bleeding since then and it has been 2 weeks. The bleeding is not heavy and if i were to wear a 35cm pad, it only covers 1/4 of it. I didnt have any sex or whatsoever and this is my first time being in this situation. why is this so?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

It sounds like your hormones may be out of balance. Your irregular bleeding could also be due to stress, a change in life circumstance or conditions like fibroids or endometriosis. Since this is very unusual for you, it's a good idea to see your doctor. Some simple blood tests or a scan can let you know more.
Best,
Susan
