I just had a brain surgery last November 24, 2014 and spent about a week in the hospital. I am well now and went back to work although I still have a little muscle weakness on my knees and a little problem with my right like looking side ways where I can double and slanting. I guess because my tumor which is a meningioma, was in my right behind the optic nerve as my neurosurgeon said.Well. I want to visit my family next year , I hope, so I need to know if it will be safe for me to travel by air to another country.

I am aware of risks associated with air travel in patients who have brain tumors that have not been surgically removed. I did find one research article that reported, "A 49-year-old female with a history of several neurosurgical and otolaryngologic procedures for occipital meningioma and cerebrospinal fluid leaks was diagnosed with pneumocephalus after a one hour flight on a domestic jet airliner.
