I have been facing same issue since last 20 days. I was on anatcids that caused pain and discharge in both breasts. But after 2 weeks i still feel little pain in left breast and it is little heavier and swollen than right one. I showed it to doctor, she checked for lumps but there are no lumps. She says it's normal and suggested me to take condesoft and prolactin test. I am worried about the swelling.August 28, 2018 - 1:17am
Thank you for writing!
According to the Mayo Clinic, mammary duct ectasia occurs when a milk duct beneath the nipple becomes wider (dilated) and filled with fluid. ... Mammary duct ectasia usually causes no signs or symptoms, but some women may have nipple discharge, breast tenderness or inflammation of the clogged duct.
Anon, a clogged duct can be very painful - so your symptoms are pretty typical of that. Your ultrasound showed the clogged duct but not a potentially cancerous lump.
You may have too much of the hormone prolactin and the cabgolin tablets may reduce this so give it a try.
We cannot offer other solutions as we are not doctors who can treat you. Give the cabgolin a try and see what happens. I hope this clears up for you soon.August 16, 2018 - 6:00am
