Alright so my biggest fear is cancer and since my period is just over a few days late and I have severe anxiety I have for some reason convinced myself that I have ovarian cancer. (Keep in mind it is super normal for me to have irregular periods as I am still 13 and I normally start late). I have had lots and lots of discharge for the last week which I normally experience and just a bit of cramping but that’s what normally happens before my period. But I’m just really worried that what if my imagination is thinking the trith and I do have ovarian cancer. (Even I know that this is a stupid thought). My family has no past with any types of cancers at all but I am still scared. Please someone try and convince me this isn’t true I really need that help right now!

Thank you for writing.
There is no cause to believe that you may have any kind of cancer. You have no reason to believe that you have. A period being late, for a girl with an irregular cycle, has no connection to any kind of cancer.
Your issue is anxiety-based, not cancer-based.
It would help you to talk to someone about your anxiety - perhaps a trusted adult. Some counselling could also help.
