I have had a hydrogen breath test and found that the sugar in my small intestines passes too quickly and goes into the colon. I also have been found to have Ulcerative Colitis (very mild). Now I'm getting these infections, usually, after consuming too much sugar. I was tested for chlamydia and was found to be positive but have not been sexually active for three years and this is the second time I've been give a diagnosis for Chlamydia. Is a false positive possible?

Hi, Anon. Thanks so much for writing to us at EmpowHer.
One of the problems with chlamydia is that a person can have it and never know it. It is the most common sexually transmitted disease in the United States, and many people never learn they have it until months or years later.
When you were diagnosed the first time, did they put you on antibiotics? Because that should have cleared it up.
