Chandan, I'm sorry to say there is no speedy recovery for the kind of injury we are discussing. Research is being done all the time, and new little breakthroughs come through, but as of now it is still a matter of rehab and hope.

Hi Chandan
It sounds like you are saying your friend had a neck injury that has paralyzed her. Usually once the medical emergency is done and the neck is stabilized to prevent further injury, someone with this type of injury would have intensive rehab/physical therapy/physiotherapy for a long time, months or even years. The surgeons who worked on her probably gave her a prognosis, such as this injury is permanent or with a lot of therapy you may be able to do x, y or z.
Since it has only been a few months, your friend's brain and spine are still recovering. The average statement is that nerves heal one inch per month. Of course a permanent spine injury is not going to disappear, but what I am saying is whatever nerves can heal do so pretty slowly and it takes a lot of hard work and therapy to maximize whatever function is possible.
Your friend will need a lot of support. Friends tend to disappear after an traumatic event like this one. Standing by her and reminding her you care, listening to her when she needs to talk about this life-changing injury will be very helpful to her.
We have good information on spine injuries: https://www.empowher.com/media/reference/quadriplegia-and-paraplegia and Mayo Clinic has a good general explanation of spinal cord injuries: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/spinal-cord-injury/DS00460
Good luck to you both. If we can help further, please let us know.

Hi Anonymous-
I'm not certain from your question what happened to your friend, and the answer would depend greatly on that. Was this a head trauma injury, or a neck injury, or a stroke? Each situation could be similar in that their might be sensory problems or paralysis, but the treatment would vary. How long has it been since the injury? This would be another issue as far as treatment or rehab.
If you can get back to us with a little more detail, we can help you find resources for you and your friend.
Thank you.

Hi Cary, thank you very much for your response my name is Chandan. The injury is happened little bit lower the skul. above the neck. Like slightly above the dent part on the neck. It happened on January 8 2010 in the night. The injury is a bit deep into the head now the injury is mostly cured but still the lower part of the body is still not having any activity. She is doing phisiotherpy as per the doctor instructions daily.
