Q:

HI, I have blood liking after my menstruation. I had today a vaginal echo and was OK. Also, my boods tests are OK for the hormonal level. It's not a lot of blood but I am scary because my mother, grand mother and my aunt died of cancer....

Hi again,
Another Moderator just suggested to me that you were probably referring to "blood leaking" after your menstrual period is over...is this correct?

Can you describe what type of "leaking" you are referring to? Are you saying the liquid that is leaking from your vagina is not blood (red, pink, brown...or some combination, similar to your menstrual period or spotting)? There are conditions that women can have that include prolonged periods (thus "leaking" menstrual fluid). However, if you are leaking other fluid, can you tell us more about this? Is it similar to cervical mucus ("CM") where it is either white or clear, and can be thick, thin, runny or sticky?

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, it's about a leaking. The liquid is red, not brown or pink, it is blood. My menstruation finished on 10th October, after 3 days I have started to have the blood leaking. It is not a lot, it's not like a menstruation....My mother had a colon cancer, my aunt breast cancer and my grandmother I think was a genital cancer, I don't know the type.Since 4 days the leaking stoped... Should I make another type of investigation?

Hi,
I am glad to hear your test results were normal!

Can you tell us more what you mean by "blood liking" after your menstrual period? Can you describe exactly what symptoms you are experiencing? What did your doctor tell you in regards to your treatment options?

Also, what type of cancer did your mother, grandmother and aunt die from? Is your doctor aware of your family medical history?
