Hi SNQ,
March 3, 2011 - 7:51amCongratulations on your pregnancy. How many weeks along are you now? In many cases, "morning sickness" (which actually can happen any time of the day) clears up for the most part by week 15 or 16. So that would be the "cure," getting into that second trimester. It's possible though that you may continue to have the aversion to smells and some form of queasiness the whole pregnancy. You may want to try to avoid any triggers you have noticed set you off and are particularly bothersome. I have heard of Vitamin B6 being prescribed for helping morning sickness (I even took it with my first pregnancy). Dimenhydrinate is commonly known as Dramamine, it is used to help with motion sickness, but may be used for morning sickness also. Here is information on that: Dimenhydrinate Information
It's important to work closely with your doctor and pharmacist when taking medications and supplements during pregnancy to ensure no harm is done to the fetus. If you have more questions, call your doctor or pharmacist--they should be your best resource for information based on your personal health history.
