Hi, I ejaculated and got sperm on my fingers. I washed it with water from the faucet but I don't remember if I washed it thoroughly. After 3 to 5 minutes, I fingered my girlfriend. If she is ovulating, will she get pregnant?

Pregnancy questions come in a variety of titles. But ultimately, EmpowHer readers want to know one thing: What are the chances of Pregnancy?
This week, Diana3279 asked if she could get pregnant without her boyfriend fully penetrating her.

The answer is: Yes. Once sperm has entered the body, there is no way of knowing whether or not you will get pregnant, but it is certainly a possibility. One good way to find out is to wait for your period, if it is late a simple home pregnancy test can detect if you’re pregnant.

What about sperm life? Anonymous wanted to know if sperm died after washing your hands with soap and water…
https://www.empowher.com/community/ask/does-washing-soap-and-water-kill-sperm-hands
Absolutely, Anon. A simple act such as washing your hands with mild soap and water will do the trick; just as it removes dirt it removes sperm. A great technique that our guide, MaryAnn, suggested was to sing the “Happy Birthday” song while washing your hands. Sperm will not permeate into your skin so with a good hand wash you can be sure that they’re gone. Also, keep in mind that once outside the body, sperm will only survive for minutes up to a couple of hours.
