Please I want to know whether the sexual inter course can be a reason for ovary enlargement? Or masturbation would be a reason? Or taking contraceptive pill would be a reason?

I am not married. From one month period is irregular means on last month my cycle comes but not in proper way, only clotting of blood comes upto 7 days. Then After 20 days same process continue. Is there cyst problem in my ovaries. Whereas my cycle in regular comes after 30-35 days. Is this is a serious problem.

Ovarian cysts can happen to anyone. It doesn't matter if you're married or not.
Functional cysts can occur in any woman who is ovulating.
Dermoid cysts - these grow from cells you are born with in your ovary.
Functional cysts can go away on their own, or can rupture.
February 23, 2011 - 11:50amDermoids will not go away, these need to be monitored or removed.

Ovarian cysts are curable, and many times the cyst itself can be removed without removing the entire ovary.
I am not sure what your marriage status has to do with ovarian cysts, as you mentioned it "only happening to married women". Women who are married, unmarried, widowed, heterosexual, homosexual...and everything in between....can be diagnosed with a cyst on their ovary. Is your question related more to the ability to have children, since you are not yet married? Or, did you read that the ovarian cysts depend on your "menstrual status", and thought it meant "marital status"; it is slightly confusing phrase...and could read it as "menstrual cycle" instead.
You can read more about Ovarian Cysts (click on orange hyperlink), or ask us questions about your diagnosis or treatment options...we're glad to help!
