Hi singlemomof2 and thanks for your question.

While only a pregnancy test can tell you if you are pregnant, here's what we can tell you. Yes, it is possible to become pregnant, with an ectopic pregnancy, after having your tubes tied.

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, most commonly in a fallopian tube.To be sure, the diagnostic process may include a pelvic exam, blood tests and ultrasound.

A fertilized egg can't develop normally outside the uterus. To prevent life-threatening complications, the ectopic tissue must be removed. Laparoscopic surgery and/or drugs are typically used.

If you continue to have symptoms it would be best to contact your healthcare professional for additional support. We hope this has been helpful.

Best,

Pam
