The start of my most recent period was on Feb 26 - projected ovulation date being March 14, projected next period March 28 (via MyMonthlyCycles, where I have been keeping track of my period for 1 year). Average cycle - 30 days.
We had protected intercourse on March 3 and 24. The condom didn't break; slipped down maybe an inch but we pushed it right back up.
Now my period is 3 or 4 days late (depending if you count the 28th), with no usual signs of cramping etc that I normally get. Took two HPT's and both came out negative. Discharge looks normal, no tenderness of breasts or anything. I have had a little bit of an upset stomach but I think I may just be getting sick - I am under quite a bit of stress.
I know it's unlikely that I am pregnant, but I am paranoid since I can't afford to have a child right now. I have heard that stress really can throw off a regular period (I have been regular for 8 years now), but I have a hard time believing it since I am so paranoid... help? I don't know what's wrong with me!
Have a GYNO appt coming up in a month, but I'm the type of person who likes to know without going to the doc! It sure would be nice if my period would come!

I'm 22 and my girlfriend is 20 years old. Based on my calculations, her period was due last 12/29 and it's already 12/31 but it hasn't started yet. She has acne and mood swings which is usually her PMS. I would like you to know that we DO NOT engage in sex with penetration. We only do fingering and oral sex. Last December 13, we engaged in oral sex. I finished her first then we washed up then she did me and I came in her mouth then she spit the cum. Gf is 4 days late and is stressing really bad. She is normally very regular with her periods. We have always worn protection (condom) every time we had sex. Idk what to do, she is stressing out and shes scared and it is causing me to feel the same. Could she be pregnant? We're both college students and are paying a lot already. Please help

High levels of stress, especially during ovulation, can cause a period to start later than normal. If you use protection regularly, the risk of pregnancy is low. I say that because condoms are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. Only abstinence is 100% effective. If your girlfriend is late beyond one week, then she should take a home pregnancy test.

Hello, my girlfriend and I have had sex twice since her last period, both times were with a condom and both times the condom was checked for any leaks and breakage. It is now the 14th of the month and her period was supposed to start on the 9th. With that being said i am obviously concerned about pregnancy seeing as how neither of us are ready despite me having a career and being together 5 years. She has anxiety issues and has since she was young, so my initial thought was that this is due to stress however, she has been fairly consistent having periods every 29-33 days. To make a long story short, she has had 4 finals over this past week and has been preparing for the last 2 tirelessly. I just want to know how likely it is that this late, or possibly missed period is caused from stress (needless to say, since the first day it was late her stressed was even higher.) She also refuses to take a pregnancy test due to a traumatic experience we had with a child we had to give up for adoption far earlier in our relationship. My apologies for the drawn out story, i did not want to leave anything out.

Hi, I am 6 days late. My periods are regular and i have been off the pill for 9 months. My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex 3-4 tikes a week. About 8 days before my period was supposed to start I had brown discharge that lasted a day and a half. Now I am experiencing small cramps and back pain with a lot of white discharge and I have been feeling extremely sleepy and tired. I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet become im scared of seeing a negative. Is their a possibility I could be pregnant?

In addition The past week I've had insomnia, gas and a stuffy nose. I read online that this may be signs of early pregnancy. But today we had sex and a few hours later I noticed spotting.
