Cherrie of Laguna Beach, California never thought she would undergo plastic surgery, but after experiencing a car accident and suffering facial lacerations she changed her mind. Cherrie talks about her decision to get plastic surgery after the accident and her happiness with the procedure.

For Cherrie, few things are as sweet as her love for vintage cars. One day, however, whiling driving one of her favorites, Cherrie was in a terrible car accident. Rushed to the emergency room, Cherrie was stitched up by the surgeon on call, who treated her wounds, including a lacerated eye. While grateful, as Cherrie began to heal, she noticed that her eye no longer looked the same, and she felt as if she didn’t recognize the face she saw every day in the mirror.

It began to affect her self-esteem, and she could not bring herself to even drive in the same car she’d driven in the accident. Sensing that she needed help, she sought out a referral for a board certified plastic surgeon, who restored not only her eye, but her sense of self.

Oftentimes, accident victims focus solely on their immediate concerns, which is understandable. But with facial lacerations especially, it is wise to seek out a surgeon skilled in aesthetics. Cosmetic surgeons will help ensure that not only is the wound closed properly, but that it is done in a way to ensure the best visual outcome. And once Cherrie’s eye was redone, she found her beauty reclaimed and her love of vintage cars restored.
