Sophia describes the minimal discomfort she felt after her gastric bypass procedure.

Sophia:
After the gastric bypass surgery, I felt a little discomfort, not too much. I have another friend that had it done and she felt the same, you know, a little discomfort as I did. I thought I was going to be in a lot of pain – no. I felt fine. There’s a little, just a little discomfort moving and things, but I was fine.

I was able to walk around, move around, and just do anything, really. After about two days I was up and going again. It was about two days I was back doing my household work. I was doing everything again. Just running around with the kids, cooking, cleaning.

I had little discomfort, very little discomfort. I thought labor was way worse afterwards. You know, so it was just, I was fine. I was able to eat about a week later. After the procedure I was fine. I was good, I mean there’s no way of really, I was normal. I was fine. There was no problems at all.

Nobody would’ve known that I had the gastric bypass surgery. Only my friends at work, my family, not my husband’s family, not a lot of my close friends don’t know that I had it done. They just thought I had lost weight. I just chose not to say anything.
