I started working for EmpowHER in the Spring of 2009 and have worn just about every hat in every department. From admin duties, sales, direct marketing, social media, answering the phones, competitive analysis, corporate messaging, event planning, marketing, content development, community management to basically any other hat needed to get things done and solve problems.
EmpowHER has not only been my job, but my growing career that reflects my passion of being, staying and feeling healthy and my love of journalism to deliver valuable information to the people looking for it.
I graduated from The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University with a focus in Strategic Media and Public Relations and a minor in Business. My degree, motivation and natural "OCD-ness" has helped me excel in multi-tasking with focus and efficiency.
My healthy nature has always been driven by my love of all things fitness, especially running. I am one of those crazy marathon people who even I can't pin point what exactly I love about it other than it feels good and knowing that I can accomplish 4 marathons and 2 half marathons.
Everyday I try to work on improving myself, creating value, leading by executing and getting results, slowing down to speed up, being authentic and original, recognizing and appreciating the work of others and building the relationships with the important people in my life.
I have had the opportunity to work with (and continue working with) a ton of amazing, talented, inspirational people (and leaders) who get me excited about creating something unique that has and will truly make a difference - a social health experience to offer people resources, support and a community to share, ask and connect about, and to, what matters most.
By working and breathing social health, I have learned there are no boundaries and even with my extreme organization there's no separation, but that's the business of it.
Welcome to my healthy, working, social, motivated life that continues to take new shapes. I never know what "hat" I will be wearing today and that's what keeps things exciting.
