I have always been on the heavy side ever since I can remember. I guess I took after my mom, Louise Myers. I have tried just about anything there is to lose some of my weight but nothing seems to work. I have tried almost all kind of diet fads, exercise, and I am on the verge of trying to become a vegetarian but not sure if I have the qualms to do so for a long time. All my life I have been eating meat and can not see myself without them in my meals.

I have read in an article or an essay written by a UK student that not because a diet works on someone, it is going to work for you also. But I am already getting desperate! Been thinking of trying out diet pills but it scares the heck out of me for I have been hearing stories that these diet pills are laced with drugs and that it affects the liver. I don't want to be an addict or to die. I just want to get thinner. Or healthy, if that is the politically correct term.
