OSTEOARTHRITIS OF THE KNEES OR HIPS?
The Canadian Osteoarthritis Research Program at Women’s College Hospital located in Toronto, Canada, is recruiting participants living in Toronto for two studies. Below is a short description on each study.
1. THE STUDY OF ARTHRITIS IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Researchers at Women’s College Hospital, are looking for volunteers 45 years + with painful hip/knee arthritis to complete a telephone interview at your convenience to learn more about how you are managing your osteoarthritis.
This study aims to better understand the current treatments and information you are using to manage your osteoarthritis and opinions that you have about surgical treatment options for knee and hip arthritis, in particular total joint replacement surgery of the hip or knee.
This research will provide the necessary information to develop and test strategies to improve people’s decision making about this surgery when offered.
2. THE STUDY ON SENSATION
This study will measure sensation around the knees and hand in individuals with knee osteoarthritis. This study will take approximately 3 hours to complete a set of questionnaires, and a specialized physical examination focusing on the sensations around your knees and hand.
Are you:
