Alice V. Roberts
I am an author, speaker and advocate for osteoporosis and the National Osteoporosis Foundation. My journey with osteoporosis began at the age of 24. At age 35, the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ, diagnosed me with severe osteoporosis and having the bones of a woman in her 80's. In 2009, at the age of 49, my bone density test revealed bones that should belong to a woman in her 90's.
Because of my age and severity it has become my mission to speak out on osteoporosis, draw awareness to the disease, increase education, and encourage prevention. This disease affects men and women- young and old. We must learn about the health of our body to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
