Where to begin? When i was 10, I swallowed a bottle of pills in my first attempted suicide. I do not even know why. I have been hospitalized for mental health issues 3 times and in respite once. I was in an abusive relationship for a couple of years. Towards the end of my marriage, I was hospitalized with an ovarian tumor, and told I had pre-cancer cells in my cervix. At the age of 19, doctors wanted to perform and hysterectomy. I refused to let them do it. 5 years later and I have been cancer and tumor free for 1 year. Every time I get a pain though, my first thought is that it's back. I have struggled with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder (type 2) body image and weight issues almost my entire life. My lowest adult weight was 89 pounds. I gained weight over a period of time and was at a healthy 125. I have dropped 25 pounds in the last couple of weeks. I have not even noticed any of my old habits. I suppose stress and work and forgetting to eat will do that to you. I struggle daily with body image issues, but I'm a work in progress. Every day I face that mountain is a day I get a step closer to my ultimate goal- Happiness!
