Nurse Practitioner Dale Ann Dorsey introduces herself, discusses the causes of urinary incontinence and explains how the Athena PMT (Pelvic Muscle Trainer) can help treat this.
Dale Ann Dorsey:
I am Dale Ann Dorsey. I am a women’s health nurse practitioner, and I have my own practice that’s called Arcadia Well Women. We treat women in all ages and trying to promote just healthy living and healthy lifestyles.
The Athena PMT is a device that can help strengthen the pelvic floor for women that are experiencing urinary incontinence.
One of the main causes of urinary incontinence is a weakened pelvic floor and it’s really important to keep that strong.
The pelvic floor is a collection of a lot of different muscles and they form kind of a little girdle that support all of the pelvic muscles and help to release and control the flow of urine through the urethra.
