Dr. Wright shares advice for thyroid patients who need help, but do not want to be a burden to others.

Dr. Wright:
You have to believe that if you are caregiver your whole life, and you are the mom, or you are the daughter, or you are the grandma, you have been participating. Why would you deny other people the opportunity to be kind? And be specific, and again, as direct as you are in chunks of manageable, and remember, this is impermanent: Nothing is going to be forever. This is just a transitional event. So ask for what you need.
