5 Healthy and Natural Stocking Stuffers for Her

Rate This

It's Christmas time and in the frenzy of the Christmas rush, stocking stuffers often get overlooked, leaving you to make a mad dash to the store to find things to fill up that big sock. I cringe when I look at some of the toxic things that are offered up as stocking stuffers. This year, instead of heading to the drug store, consider going to your local health food store for some great finds!

Here are my top 5 picks for Natural, Healthy or Green Stocking stuffers for the special women on your list:

1. All natural hand cream

During the winter months in the colder climates, the dry air and warming up our hands in front of the car heater takes a toll on our hands. A bottle of rich hand cream is the perfect thing to slip in her stocking. For a long lasting cream to help soothe cracked hands, consider looking for a cream that contains shea butter.

2. Tea or Coffee

Treat your lady to fair trade and/or organic teas or coffees. There are so many different varieties to consider. I love Four O'clock teas and Traditional Medicines. If your lady has trouble getting to sleep at night, then consider Traditional Medicine's Organic Nighty Night tea that contains passionflower, chamomile, catnip and hop strobile to help her get to sleep.

If she's more of a coffee drinker, there are many different brands of fair trade coffee. Look for one that is locally roasted for the freshest flavor, and to support your local community!

3. Chocolate

I don't know of many women who do not like chocolate. Christmas is a wonderful time to splurge on some organic and fair trade chocolates. A good brand that has fantastic flavor is Theobroma Chocolat. They gave me a sample of each of their different products and I must admit that I'm hooked on the raspberry and coconut bars. The raspberry flavor explodes in your mouth as you get chunks of real raspberry in every bite. It's absolutely fantastic! I keep some on hand for when I get a craving. And it's dark chocolate, so it's good for you!

4. Natural Nail Polish

This is a beautiful treat to slip into her stocking. Instead of slicking on a coat of chemicals on her nails, she can use a natural alternative! A natural nail polish.

Suncoat offers a rainbow of colors. They provided some product samples for my Healthy Moms Connect sessions earlier this year and they received rave reviews. The nail polish has staying power. My pedicure last summer lasted a long time.

5. Natural Lip Balm

This is a winter staple, something she's sure to use! Don't forget to read the ingredient label and avoid products with petroleum, instead look for a lip balm with shea butter or bees wax as the base. You can check the Environmental Working Group (EWG)'s Cosmetic Database to find a good product.

So when you are doing your last minute shopping, be sure to remember this list. Then you will make some good choices, naturally.
