Peter Weiss, M.D., is an attending physician for the Women’s Health department at Saint John’s Health Center. Dr. Weiss is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine.
Dr. Weiss' main clinical and research interests are high-risk pregnancy, advanced laparoscopic procedures, menopause and umbilical cord stem cell research. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Weiss has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications, including the American Journal of Public Health and the Journal of Clinical Infectious Disease.
Dr. Weiss did his undergraduate studies at the University of Detroit and received his medical degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Weiss has also served as a health care policy advisor, advocating for patients' rights.
